Count Your Blessings

Good Evening and Welcome,

Today it is on my heart heavy to write about counting your blessings. Often, in life we tend to complain about where we are currently or the things that we don’t have. There is always someone else out in this big world who has it worse than you do. God wants us to be thankful for the things we have, that He has blessed us with. We are not supposed to place things on a pedestal or worship things. God is a jealous God. To be certain that we don’t get confused about things, it is one of the 10 commandments. The first commandments says, “Thou shalt have no other God before me.” This commandment is letting you know God means business. We often worry about getting the next pair of the “it” shoes or jeans and tend to forget to say thank you to God.

The next time you look around in your home remember someone is sleeping on the street tonight. The next time you sit down to eat a meal remember there is someone who doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from. The next time you complain about sitting in traffic remember there is someone traveling by foot. All these blessings we take for granted someone else is praying for. Be thankful right where you are wherever you are. Remember ¬†things could be a lot worse….be thankful and humble. If you have an opportunity to help someone please do so, if you can’t help financially prayer is free pray for them.

Always remember to be a good steward over what God blesses you with and be THANKFUL! Be strong, be encouraged and know that GREAT IS IN YOU! It takes only one match to spark a flame….light the world.
