Forgive Those That Despitefully Use You

Good Evening Loves,

“Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you,” Luke 6:28. Forgiving someone that has hurt you is a very difficult task. Yes, I agree, it is easier said than done. Jesus said, “If you don’t let go of resentment, if you refuse to forgive others, you’ll be robbing yourself of your heavenly Father’s forgiveness.” Matthew 6:13. Forgiving someone does not excuse their behavior, forgiveness prevents that hurt from what they did from destroying your heart. Why let someone occupy space in your mind or life rent free. Until you forgive, you yourself can never heal.

I know some of you have family, friends, co-workers, church members, the list can go on and on who have hurt you….it’s time to let it go. Stop holding on to someone who cares less than the best for you. If someone can hurt you and not apologize chances are they don’t care that they hurt you or care for you at all. It’s true, hurting people hurt people. The absolute best feeling in the world is to tell someone, “You hurt me but I forgive you.” Stop bearing that cross of hurt for someone else. I know it’s hard to carry everyday and be constantly reminded of what hurt you. Pray and ask God to help you have the gift of forgiveness and goodbye. Ask God to help you find peace in your forgiveness. Ask God to calm your heart in your forgiveness. Ask God to help you press the release button. Once you release, a heavy weight will be lifted off your shoulders.

There is nothing that mimics God’s love or more powerful than showing forgiveness and grace to someone who does not deserve it. God will be pleased with you and you pleased with yourself. You are stronger than you think you are. You never know how strong you are until you have to forgive someone who wasn’t sorry and accept an apology that you will never receive. Never let anyone move in and lower your appraised value. God’s value of your life is priceless.

I must tell you, Great Is In You. I don’t know if you know but it’s there. You never know what you can do…. until doing is all you have. Be blessed Loves and a blessing to others and know greatness is in forgiving and Greatness Is In You!
