Good Morning My Loves,
Happy Sunday! I hope your day is filled with love and fulfillment by serving others. Having the heart of a servant means not only putting the needs of others first, but to serve with the right heart and intent by putting the will of God first. Your incentive cannot be driven by recognition, rewards or praise. It must solely be a mission of servanthood like Jesus Christ. Being a servant as exemplified by Jesus Christ is not an easy undertaking, let’s be honest. However, I would like to do a better job and really challenge myself and you all as well.
Jesus said, “Even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life ransom for many” Mark 10:45. As Christians, if we want to mature, grow and have the character of Christ we must advance in the ministry of giving of ourselves to and for others. A faithful servants heart is the heart of Christ. As we put the Lord first in our lives He calls us to reach out to others. Having the heart of a servant in service of others helps us grow because it teaches us humility. When you realize God’s purpose for your life isn’t just about you, He will use you in a mighty way. If serving is below you, leadership is beyond you.
The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others-Mahatma Gandhi. An easy way to tell if you have a servant heart is how you act when you’re treated like a servant. Serving others is rarely convenient, we have to be intentional in our service. It is more blessed to give than to receive. Lead with the heart of a servant and serve with the heart of a king. Servant serving is humility at it’s finest. Live each day with the hope that when you meet God He will say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Be abundantly blessed my Loves and a blessing in service to others. I know you can do this because….Great Is In You!
